Our private lessons start lessons at ages 3+ and go all the way up to adults. Our stable is an ideal quiet location, only 12 minutes from downtown Asheville, with both a riding arena and onsite trails.
Students in our program include beginners, adults, aspiring eventers, trail riders, and more. Our lesson horses are ideal to both learn and advance on. Each and every one of our students receive a well rounded education to make them confident and and capable riders both in and out of the saddle. We emphasize natural horsemanship, which creates a one of a kind bond with our horses and students.
Canaan Valley believes in a community, and often hosts events for our lesson students to come together for their love of horses.
Belle Crouse
Our instructor Belle Crouse has been on a horse longer than she’s been walking. She has over 10+ years of riding experience and 4 years of teaching experience.
Belle is an eventer and you will find her most weekends (when she’s not working weddings) competing in trials with her Canadian Warmblood Lincoln.
